Key Flag awarded to KL-Lämpö Oy’s corrosion inhibitors, heat transfer liquids and Peittex cleaning chemicals

The Association for Finnish Work has awarded the Key Flag symbol to KL-Lämpö Oy’s following product groups:

The Key Flag is a sign of Finnish work. The symbol can be awarded to a product that has been made in Finland. In addition, the right to use Key Flag Symbol can be awarded to products with a minimum domestic content of 50 per cent of its break-even cost. The calculation takes into consideration all costs related to the product.

“We take pride in the know-how and quality service of our family enterprise. We have developed high-quality products for water treatment, which are manufactured sustainably. These products help our customers increase the energy efficiency and reliability of their operations in an environmentally friendly way. The Key Flag symbolises our company values: we take responsibility for the wellbeing of our employees, the environment, and the society. By using the Key Flag symbol, we want to increase the appreciation of Finnish services and products. Buying Finnish products also supports domestic employment,” explains Managing Director Olli Edgren of KL-Lämpö Oy.

The Key Flag symbol is very well known in Finland. According to a study conducted by the Association for Finnish Work, practically all Finnish consumers and business executives know the Key Flag symbol. The majority of Finns (75%) also state that the Key Flag symbol has a positive impact on their purchasing decisions. Approximately half of the Finnish population associate the symbol with responsibility.

Marketing Manager Reetta Mentu of the Association for Finnish Work states that people regard buying domestic products as a way of influencing society and a responsible value choice that contributes to Finnish competitiveness and prosperity.

“Consumers associate the Key Flag symbol with a positive image of domestic quality, reliability, safety, responsibility and employment. With the Key Flag symbol, companies can communicate important values to their customers and other stakeholders. 92 per cent of companies that have been awarded the Key Flag symbol state that the symbol supports the sales of products and services,” explains Reetta Mentu.

Key Flag awarded to KL-Lämpö Oy's services

The Association for Finnish Work has awarded Pirkkala-based KL-Lämpö Oy the Key Flag symbol in recognition of a service produced in Finland that creates Finnish jobs. The Key Flag symbol has been awarded for the maintenance, repair and monitoring services of liquid circulation systems.

The Key Flag is a sign of Finnish work.  The primary criterion for awarding the symbol is always that a product is made in Finland or a service is produced in Finland. In addition, the domestic content of a product or service must be at least 50 per cent of its break-even cost.A company applying for the Key Flag symbol for services must also have significant domestic ownership, as well as having its management and head office located in Finland.

“Finnish services are of high quality, and they are produced responsibly. The Finnish way of doing things is an asset in the international market.
