Responsibility and sustainable development are among KL-Lämpö’s core values. For us, this means not only taking care of our customers, employees, and the environment but also taking responsibility for society. Here at KL-Lämpö, we have created our own sustainability program, promoting several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our sustainability program focuses on three important themes: people, the environment, and good governance. We have set goals and indicators for these focus areas, which we monitor and review annually.

KL-Lämpö has achieved a good score in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, which provides an independent and credible evaluation of our sustainability performance. This assessment benefits our customers by helping them meet increasing sustainability requirements throughout their value chains. We participate in the EcoVadis assessment annually to monitor our progress and to continuously improve our performance.
Our strong focus on customer orientation and responsibility also drives our commitment to quality. With an ISO 9001 certified quality management system, we continuously develop the quality and reliability of our operations in a systematic way. Our Code of Conduct sets clear expectations not only for our internal practices, but also for our business partners. We require that all our partners operate in a responsible and reliable manner, in line with these shared principles.
KL-Lämpö takes social and societal responsibility by ensuring ethical business practices, occupational safety, and employee well-being, and by creating jobs in Finland. We invest in the expertise and job satisfaction our staff, which is reflected in long careers. We support well-being and safety through regular training, comprehensive occupational health services, wellness activities, and employee benefits. We improve employee engagement by making regular surveys on job satisfaction, equality, and non-discrimination.
Long careers and consistently good results in job satisfaction surveys indicate that KL-Lämpö is a pleasant place to work. Job satisfaction has remained at an excellent level (rating 4.2 out of 5) over the past year. We enhance well-being at work by conducting a job satisfaction survey every three months.
KL-Lämpö is committed to the Responsible Care initiative, which is the voluntary ethical framework for the global chemical industry. We fulfill our producer responsibility obligations through Finnish Packaging Recycling RINKI Ltd. We are also part of the Water Ecosystem alliance, which aims to improve the quality, efficiency, and environmental friendliness of industrial and municipal water processes.
The Association for Finnish Work has awarded us the Key Flag symbol, in recognition of a service produced in Finland that creates jobs in Finland. The symbol has been granted for our maintenance, service, and monitoring services for liquid-circulation systems. Additionally, the Key Flag has been awarded to KL-Lämpö Oy's heat transfer fluids, PEITTEX cleaning chemicals, and corrosion inhibitors. (Read more)
