KL-Lämpö advances its climate work through the Climate Program

05.02.2026

KL-Lämpö has been selected to participate in the Climate Program of the Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland for 2026.

The aim of the program is to support companies in identifying the climate impacts of their operations and implementing genuinely effective emission reduction measures. By investing in climate work, we are building a strong, responsible and financially sustainable business where the measurement and reduction of climate impacts are based on data and a systematic approach.

“The Climate Program provides confidence and concrete tools for developing our sustainability work. So far, we have used EcoVadis assessment tools to calculate KL-Lämpö’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Through the Climate Program, we are able to deepen our calculations and obtain external verification for the work we have done. When emission calculations are based on accurate data rather than estimates, the emission reduction measures we implement can also have a real impact,” says Jonna Lehtinen, Quality and Environmental Engineer at KL-Lämpö.

Building a sustainable business for the future

We aim to strengthen our expertise and climate competence and to be proactively prepared to communicate the climate impacts of our operations openly and reliably. Climate work is no longer only a differentiating factor for pioneers; it has become an essential part of everyday business for companies of all sizes, from listed corporations to SMEs.

The Climate Program also provides a valuable network and practical support for SMEs committed to climate action. By strengthening our climate expertise, we improve our readiness to meet our customers’ sustainability requirements, respond to changes in the operating environment and manage risks related to climate change. In this way, we develop our business in a long-term and future-oriented manner.
