Carbon Footprint Calculated label

KL‑Lämpö has taken a new step in its sustainability work by calculating the company’s carbon footprint (Scope 1 and 2) for the most recent financial year. The calculation was carried out in accordance with the internationally recognised Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol).

KL‑Lämpö has also been awarded the Carbon Footprint Calculated label, indicating that the calculation meets established standards and criteria.

The work is part of KL‑Lämpö’s participation in the Finland Chamber of Commerce Climate Program, which provides a framework for understanding emissions and identifying actions to support systematic climate work.

“Calculating our carbon footprint provides a clear baseline against which we can assess our development. At the same time, it strengthens our ability to meet our customers’ growing sustainability and documentation requirements,” says Jonna Lehtinen, Quality and Environmental Engineer at KL‑Lämpö.

The calculation covers the company’s direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2).

Calculating the carbon footprint and receiving the label are part of KL‑Lämpö’s continuous sustainability work.
