KL-Lämpö Reaches Advanced Performance Level in EcoVadis Assessment
KL-Lämpö improved its sustainability performance in the 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment. The company once again earned an EcoVadis Bronze Medal, while the key milestone was reaching the Advanced performance level for the first time.
EcoVadis is a global leader in business sustainability assessments. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The assessment is based on documented evidence and helps companies identify strengths in their sustainability management as well as areas for improvement.
KL-Lämpö achieved an overall score of 69, an increase of five points from the previous year. The result placed the company at the EcoVadis Advanced performance level for the first time. KL-Lämpö also ranked among the top 25% of companies assessed by EcoVadis globally.

KL-Lämpö improved its scores across all four assessment themes compared with the previous year. The most significant improvements were achieved in Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
According to EcoVadis benchmarking, KL-Lämpö performs above the industry average across all assessed themes. The result reflects the continued progress of the company’s long-term sustainability efforts and its commitment to sustainable business practices.

KL‑Lämpö calculates carbon footprint (scope 1 and 2) in accordance with the GHG Protocol

KL‑Lämpö has taken a new step in its sustainability work by calculating the company’s carbon footprint (Scope 1 and 2) for the most recent financial year. The calculation was carried out in accordance with the internationally recognised Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol).
KL‑Lämpö has also been awarded the Carbon Footprint Calculated label, indicating that the calculation meets established standards and criteria.
The work is part of KL‑Lämpö’s participation in the Finland Chamber of Commerce Climate Program, which provides a framework for understanding emissions and identifying actions to support systematic climate work.
“Calculating our carbon footprint provides a clear baseline against which we can assess our development. At the same time, it strengthens our ability to meet our customers’ growing sustainability and documentation requirements,” says Jonna Lehtinen, Quality and Environmental Engineer at KL‑Lämpö.
The calculation covers the company’s direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2).
Calculating the carbon footprint and receiving the label are part of KL‑Lämpö’s continuous sustainability work.

KL-Lämpö publishes its first sustainability report
KL-Lämpö has published its first sustainability report. The report brings together the company’s material sustainability information and provides customers and stakeholders with a clear, comparable and reliable view of our sustainability work.

The main benefit of the report for our customers and other stakeholders is transparency. It provides reliable and comparable information about our operations and supports our customers in carrying out supplier assessments.
The report has been prepared in accordance with the EU’s voluntary VSME sustainability reporting standard for non-listed SMEs.
The report highlights the three main themes of our sustainability work: People, Environment, and Governance & Society. Concrete targets and indicators have been defined for each theme, including increased safety training, high job satisfaction, zero workplace accidents and chemical incidents, and progress towards EcoVadis Silver level by 2027.
The transparency and reliability of our sustainability work are also supported by regular, independent EcoVadis assessments. In addition, our ISO 9001-certified management system reflects our commitment to responsible governance.
We will continue to develop our sustainability work in a goal-oriented way and report on our progress openly. At this stage, the report is available in Finnish only.

Customer Survey 2026: KL-Lämpö Achieves Its Highest NPS Score to Date

KL-Lämpö’s 2026 customer survey is now complete, and we thank all respondents for their feedback.
The survey, conducted in January–February 2026 among our customers in Finland, explored customer experience, satisfaction with KL-Lämpö as a partner, and future purchase intentions. A total of 183 responses were collected through both telephone interviews and an online questionnaire.
Based on the results, KL-Lämpö’s overall customer satisfaction score was 4.3 on a scale from 1 to 5, indicating a high level of satisfaction. Scores were consistently strong: delivery accuracy (error-free deliveries) and adherence to agreed delivery times both reached 4.5/5, while the sales team’s expertise and professionalism were rated at 4.4/5.
NPS recommendation index at a record level
The Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures customers’ willingness to recommend KL-Lämpö, was 62 in the 2026 survey. This places the result firmly in the “excellent” category (30–100) and marks the highest NPS score in the company’s ten-year measurement history.
The result highlights stronger-than-ever customer willingness to recommend KL-Lämpö within their own networks.
